Serato Remote Mini App Reviews

Bugs have been reported and approved 1 year ago already but no update with bug fixes came out yet. Since iOS 8 SRM doesn’t work right anymore with an iPhone 4S. It’s useless until an update comes out in 10 years.

Great work guys.. Really wish we can have access to both decks for the cue points though. I know space is tight - but at least give us the option. Whether it be just the first two pads or even make the pads smaller. I can see people making mistakes and hitting cues on the wrong side while in a rush.. Otherwise this was much needed!

Excellent work! I thought this app would be something Id use here n there. But I could see myself using this for my sets. My only complaint I could think of right now is that I wish there was a way to favorite or move the FXs I would use the most to the top of the list. I love the amount of FXs installed, but theres only a few I would use on a regular basis. Overall great job right out the gate. I hope updates come frequently!

It works on my NS7 ii and helps out alot when you want instand double your tracks on the fly and the FX work great hope there are more updates to come within bugs and fixes.

It works great for me. I was very surprised of how good the transient response time is over the ad hoc network setup method.

As a DJ who has supported SSL since the original version and proud owner of an SL4 - I applaud this innovative and practical extension of Serato. This is a phenomenal distinguisher from the competition - it gives me confidence in the future of Serato. With the integration of Serato DJ and SSL looming, I reckon this to be a crucial augmentation of the line. Thanks as always for your focus on STABILITY over bells and whistles; and for this clever offering to enhance our djing experience.

Not any delay at all works fine. I wasnt surprised about the squishy UI but other than that its awesome to play with

It does absolutely nothing as a remote. Doesnt play/pause. Doesnt cue. Doesnt lets u see what song is playing. Doesnt let u select a song. Doesnt let u control the volume. It does nothing that u would want to do with a remote.

This is a complete rip-off! Do yourself a favor and totally ignore this . I got it goin ( no instructions ) finally. And was excited to see that it operates some functions on my serato . BUT the single most basic function : PLAY / PAUSE isnt there!!!!! They have other super stupid stuff ya probably would never use and ignored the only thing you need! How can you use this if you cant play a track ?? You can also browse your collection... Great... BUT you cant see it! It doesnt show on the screen. Who cares about the effects and other stuff if you cant use it? I called support and they confirmed this !! They said they may fix it in a future update... ?? Total waste of my hard earned money. I dont know bout the I pad, but the phone app should not be sold until it is a usuable product. They have just stolen from me. Tell a friend.... Thank you.

Im getting a refund for this right now. The fact that it has no play/pause button makes this useless to me. Im a mobile DJ that likes to get out on the dance floor with the crowd and this does not enable me to do that. Im going back to Virtual DJ. At least they got it right....

With the effects and pads its just so fun! I dont know how other people are complaining about this app. It has opened up a new world of creativity for me well done serato I cant wait for whats in store in the next update!

Serato: I realize you aren’t putting much money into developing this app, so I will ignore all the other small things… but as many have already been requesting, PLEASE add a play/pause feature for this app.

Tried with USB, wireless, and ad hoc with Windows 7, SL1, scratch live 2.5, and iPhone 5C with iOS 8. Saw success stories online with this config, but didnt work at all for me. Everything else works fine, guess Ill just use the keyboard.

I never use this App

Anyone here who gave few stars is a victim of their own ignorance. This app does all it says it does. While it is basic in nature this is exactly how it was intended to be. Serato Remote has since seen some updates that some have asked for/addressed here (play button, quantize, etc.) and I am sure Remote Mini will see the samt in the future but asking for $5 back is a little lame. Thats like 10 mins of work at your day job and it does what it says it does.

The lib section needs a play/stop feature, it would also be nice for the effects section to have an x/y control feature. All in all its an alright app, would recommend it until it gets some updates tho, especially not for $5
